About Sinéad & Harrington Hats
Originally from Kildare, Ireland, Sinéad Harrington’s passion for sewing and design flourished over the years, evolving into the creation of unique hats, headpieces & hair accessories. After living in Scotland and England for over 20 years, Sinéad relocated to Killenard, Co. Laois in 2018, where she continues to grow the Harrington Hats brand.
Sinead launched Harrington Hat Hire in 2013 and has spent the past decade building an environmentally sustainable fashion- focussed brand. Her approach to design & materials has focused on championing natural, organic, and recycled materials, which are kinder to the planet. By emphasising timeless designs and high-quality craftsmanship, slow fashion creates pieces that last, reducing the need for constant replacements and cutting down on textile waste. Working with local suppliers, she has weaved Irish Linen, tweed & wool into her designs.
Sinéad’s designs are regulars to Royal Ascot, Cheltenham, Goodwood, Epsom, Saudi Cup, Arc de Triomphe, Irish Derby, Galway & Punchestown! Her hats have been in various publications including Tatler, Cambridge Edition, Stamford Pride, The Moment Magazine, BBC Cambridge & she has also exhibited at London Hat Week. "As a designer, I am constantly learning and continuously training with other milliners to enhance and refine my skills." She has honed her craft under renowned milliners such as Louise Pocock, Carole Maher, Bridget Bailey, Ian Bennett, and Rebecca Share. Whether you are looking for a classic design or a show-stopping, one-of-a-kind piece, Sinéad’s extensive experience and creative flair ensure a hat that complements both your style and the occasion.
